Yay! That's awesome!
I cannot imagine having to clean out your home as you described it! Echhh. I'm so glad that you guys are finally able to get settled though! Praise the Lord for providing all things! Thanks for keeping us all updated on your life!
I can't wait to see pregnant Lindsey, you must put pictures up when you can. We are just so excited for you and Brian!!!! Glad you are finally in your cottage. Take care!!
Yeah! This little princess over on this side of the world is going to be the only one that has a birthday apart from all her other new cousins. Caleb was born Feb 1., Lexi was born March 2., Camden was born March 24 (I think) and now your little bean will be born around March too! I guess Josh and I got out of line a little bit. Oh well. I can't wait to see your pics soon too. You are just going to glow. I can see it already. I know it's gotta be hard for your momma too. I thought my mom was far away being in NJ but good grief you are countries away. I know you have to do what you have to do but don't keep that baby from us forever. We have to enjoy him/her too. Love ya and miss ya.
wahoo! you posteth again!
love you! miss you!
dad sent you an email and put money in your acct! stimulus ck, rebates, gifts...
yay for another march baby in our family! can't wait to see that little belly. you will look beautiful lindsey. i bet brian is so excited! and you too of course! i would like to repeat what alicia typed, "don't keep that baby away from us forever."
i THIRD the comment!
oh, and lindsey - i'm a thinkin' you probably won't deliver til closer to April if you're anything like your mother and maternal aunts... and maternal grandmother....
we all had late deliveries
and remember, you were 20 days over due!!! (long story, but true...)
20 days overdue! Holy Moly! Don't do that! Much love to my wee pal and my Pal!
truly 20 days past the due date...but still no baby toe toe nails!
dr's were wanting to "get that baby outta there" but even after two unsuccessful inductions with pitocin drips for 2 12 hour periods on separate days...my body still wouldn't give...
so, on day 19, with some cramping finally starting to happen, i asked for prayer finally that God would cause my body to go into labor at His appointed time and finally, the next morning, the process was begun.
yes, 20 days over-due on man's time-table... but perfect day of arrival on God's calendar :-)
today, Lindzee, I take thine sister shopping for a car, then I will come home and start packing you a suitcase to send on Tuesday
start praying for wisdom in my packing... and i need to know if i can transfer the moolah from your account to mine to pay for it to be transported with that adoptive mom... $150 ???
and i'll have dad scan/email those receipts today you asked for.
i'd better get moving - you know how han is with schedules...
this Sat afternoon...Dad has been shopping for you....craisins, tea tree oil which i just taped inside the Rooibos Tea box, wheat crackers, Brian's hot sauce stuff, several boxes of instant oatmeal plus other things you requested...
i'm going to load up a suit case for you soon... i'm going through the "tea cabinet" and picking you out a selection to choose from...and will send more later... i know how you like your hot tea in the mornings... :-)
i spent 3-4 hours with Han this morning/afternoon helping her with choosing and purchasing a car! she picked one out... and was off to prayer and Tred before Dad even had a chance to see it!
j's considering purchasing the car you drove from Dad and fixin' it up...it's sounding really really bad....a/c has gone out and Han hates that car :-) it sounds very crunchy! how did you keep driving it? was it even safe? oh my!
purchasing it and also a motorcycle...and then when you come back, he said ya'll could drive it... the car, i mean...
well, i'm getting long-winded....and i know how you detest that.... so.... until next time....
you are loved
you are missed
your face i won't kiss
but cherish your heart
and cling to my memories
and wait til i see you again
hey i gotta add my little sisterly two cents and leave you some love! i miss you!!!
i finally got my hair done; i was so at a loss; was about to go to visible changes, but didn't want to because i wanted my sister! then i stopped by toni & guy and they said they would take me right away, so i went in and had a BLAST. i pretty much let them do what i let you do. i gave them some color ideas, and then let them go for it technique-wise. very exciting. however, i will have to make monthly payments on what they charged me. i now especially appreciate all those hair-dids you done for me. :)
ok, i will be watching your blog for news! let us know when you get better internet, cuz i want to send you some pictures!
much LOVE!!!!!!!!! (and a smooch)
han
ok, so the suitcase is packed! and it weighs exactly 50 lbs! i bought you a pair of black Born sandals and a pair of black Sketchers - i put the red! Crocs in there. should i put the black ones in? and the pants you requested and foods...except we didn't get any Rudy's BBQ sauce (unless dad can get some on the way to meet Ann at the airport and sneak it in the suitcase)
and a moderate amt of hair products... that stuff is heavy!
next time i'll put more fun things in....
love you Dott!!!
Marmalady - aka Pam-Maw
It was soooo good talking to you both today! Keep rested.
Love ya
WOO HOO! You go, woman! I'm so glad to read these little update posts from you... Your adventure sounds superb. :) I've been telling all my friends about your adventure and I even read some posts out loud to them the other night! lol
Only 20 days until I move to Waco. I packed my first box today! (That's about as far as I can go until much closer to the time of departure.) God's been revealing Himself more and more to me every day just as we prayed and I know that He is doing great things for you two as well.
I decided the other day that I needed some kind of hangy/decoration thing to put on my rear view mirror and I instantly thought to hang the elephant neclace that I got at your wedding shower. It's much better that way, I think, than wearing it every so often because I can SEE it wherever I go!!
As you know, B. went on tour right after that last show we went to and that week that you left, God put it on my heart to pray for them every day that they were gone. I called Joshua to tell him that I would be in prayer for them and got all their names to call aloud to God in prayer. He texted me a few weeks later closer to the end and told me, "It's crazy how God has been everywhere in this tour!! There has been an unexplainable presence, almost like a high!" I thought that was the coolest thing ever to get that text! It taught me the power of consistent, fervent, desperate prayer...
Anyways, that's all for now! MUCH much much much love to you both. I miss your presence but I rejoice that you are doing great things for the kingdom across the sea!
Love,
Cara Jean
wow, Cara - i love it when I'm able to realize God's goodness...and recognize Him at work... sometimes get too busy and lose sight...
Linds, did the suitcase get there?
I hear Diane and Micah are headed your way and they said you said for me to pack "duffles" this time. Is this important? What about more hair products? Need info... Will probably call you at 9-10 p.m. your time Saturday.
ta ta for now....
ps - let's get your ticker posted! btw, you're in your 7th week now!!!!!! since you don't have your 'planner and all :-)
Hi May-Maw - Hi Jamie-Maw
Pam-maw, Danyne even had a 4d there in Uganda...I was told they can just go ask for a sonogram...supposedly doesn't cost much. I'm told they have a great nurse at the orphanage that use to work with an OB here in the states. She helped Danyne thought it all. Hope Lindsey will get a checkup soon somewhere!
Gramma May aka May-maw
doesn't cost much in whose opinion? linds said it costs about $200 or so (she heard from Danyne)
so.... maybe she'll do it the old-fashioned way, like I said....
drop, squat, push, and voila!
a babee in a basket!!! just move over the kumquats and mangos....
I think it's time for a Tharpe update! Don't you????
hint, hint!!!!!!

rosaleeta
I too yearn for an update!
i have written one, my pals and friends and family... it is nicely journaled... a number of pages... in my journal... yet to be transcribed to the computer... then only to go through the process of trying to post it! i will try to make that happen soon! but i stay away from the web as much as possible these days as it can be a sore frustration enough to drive one mad!
love you all!
and will get to it soon as i can.
linds
